What we collect

• Without an account: nothing that identifies you. "Near me" uses your location in your browser to look up nearby prices; it isn't stored.
• Your account: your email address and a securely hashed password, or your name and email from Google if you sign in with Google.
• What you save: saved stations, fuel types, alert and email preferences.
• Your garage: the cars you add - fuel, tank size and MPG, and, if you enter them, the registration and MOT, tax, insurance and service due dates.
• Fill-ups you log (Pro): station, fuel, litres, price and optional mileage; a Business team's owner can see their drivers' fill-ups and email addresses.
• API keys: a one-way hash of each key and daily call counts.
• Price reports: confirmations and corrections you send, stored with your account to stop spam; others only see totals.
• Referrals: your referral code and, if you joined through a friend's link, which account referred you.
• Loyalty cards: which schemes you hold and the discount per litre you enter. We never store card numbers.
• Push notifications: the delivery address your browser gives us, if you turn them on.
• Subscriptions: whether you're subscribed and a Stripe customer reference. Card details go to Stripe; we never see them.

Why we use it

To provide your account, saved stations, alerts, reminders and subscription (contract); price alert and MOT/tax/insurance reminder emails, which you can switch off any time (contract); the weekly roundup, which you can switch off any time (legitimate interests); push notifications (consent); and security and legal obligations.

Who processes it for us

Supabase (database and sign-in, EU), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Google (only if you choose Continue with Google), Mapbox (maps), Cloudflare (hosting and cookie-free statistics), Sentry (error reports, with no names, emails, IP addresses or locations). We don't sell your data or use tracking cookies.

Your rights

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Deleting your account from the account page cancels any subscription and removes your data, except payment records Stripe must keep for tax purposes.

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data by emailing support@pennyfill.co.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
